STC UNDERGROUND

We've been busy...

During the fall season all of us here at the STCU have been busy helping out and participating in different community events going on around St. Charles!

First off, we were asked by the Primrose Farm Manager, Kirk Bunke, to help out with the Farm Frolic by showing off our artistic sides and painting some targets for the Pumpkin Slingshot event. The kids really took this one above and beyond by painting many colorful and extravagant murals on large pieces of plywood for the event, they looked so good people probably felt bad shooting pumpkins at them!

Next we got busy on our entry in the communities annual Scarecrow Festival! The final vote for our theme was the STCU Prom, and with a little help from some people here at the Baker Community Center (thanks Mark!), we managed to get a pretty great entry together!

Below are some photos of our work!

STCU Bagg-O!

The STC Underground has recently updated its fun inventory with a new set of bean bag toss boards, built by our very own Mark Glabinski. We haven't painted the boards yet, but are taking suggestions as we speak so let us know if you have any great ideas!

Pictures coming soon!

Jammin' at the Underground

The Underground hosted the Noble Fools Theatricals Teen Musical Group on Saturday, October 18. The night was a great success with over 50 people attending the show. We enjoyed refreshments and socializing afterwards and look forward to having the Noble Fools folks here again in the future.

The next date we have scheduled is Saturday November 15, when we will feature 'Rocket Boots' and 'This Could Be Tricky', both local teen bands. The show will begin at 7pm and the STC Underground will close at 6pm on this night and only be open for the show. There will be a $5 dollar charge for the show.

If you or someone you know has a band that would like to perform at the Underground, go to the Concerts page and download and print our application and return to the STCU.

Here are some photos from the night!

Study Nights

The STC Underground in a joint effort with the St. Charles Noon Kiwanis Club has started offering study nights to the members of the STCU. Members must sign up with Darby or Sean at the Underground to participate. They are held every other Tuesday throughout the school year and go from 6-8pm, with a pizza party for all of those who studied for the entire time to follow! For more information or to check out the next date check out the Calendar page.

Here are some photos of our last study night with a full house of 20 participants!
