STCU Field Day

The STCU hosted its first annual field day on Monday, August 16 at Mt. St. Mary's Park and it was a great day! The event was free to anyone who signed up and we enjoyed a bbq and some field games like capture the flag and kick ball! Below is a video from the day.

 

STCU-TAG

The STCU-TAG (Teen Advisory Group) participated in their first community service event this year, passing out maps and evaluations at the St. Charles Park Districts Big Truck Show. The teens had a lot of fun and did a great job! Check out the video of the group at work below!

 

 

3rd Annual Skate Park Bash

The STCU hosted it's 3rd Annual Skate Park Bash, with a skate competition judged by Circus Skate Park and three great local bands performing after the competition. With over 20 skaters in the contest, the judges had a rough time determining the winners of the two age brackets! In our 13 and under category, CJ Kelly took home the victory and for the 14 and over Cody Latino was the victor!

STCU Ping Pong Tournament

Today, May 1st we crowned the Ping Pong Champion of the STCU, Michael Gongaware! After 6 fierce competitors took him on, he secured victory playing Braham Thomas, a TAG member, in the championship game. Everyone played well and enjoyed pizza and prizes!

STCU Video Game Tournament

On Friday, April 23 the Teen Center held it's first Video Game Tournament to crown the STCU Video Game Champion!! After stiff completion between 12 of our strongest gamers, Clayton Stilin pulled out the victory to become the STCU Video Game Champ. We will be holding more tournaments in the future to give others the chance to compete for the title! Participants enjoyed pizza and pop as they battled it out in Mario Cart, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Forza Motor Sport, and Tekken.

Community Wide Garage Sale

The Community Wide Garage Sale had it's biggest year ever in 2010 with 125 homes participating in the event to help support the STC Underground! So far the weather has been great and the city is buzzing with garage sales and shoppers from all over!

STCU-TAG Social

The STCU-TAG celebrated it's first successful year as a group representing and supporting the STC Underground and the youth community of St. Charles on Monday, March 1st. The group participated in several community events this school year as well as had a great fundraising year with events including the Primrose Farm Frolic Bake Sale and the Holiday Fundraising Campaign. STCU Winter Lock-In

The lock-in was a blast. 20 teens spent the night and participated in a crazy relay, competed in a ton of tounaments and ate like kings. Check out pictures and videos on our facebook page, along with a slideshow below.

Saturday Night Jammin'

STCU-TAG

The STCU-TAG (STC Underground Teen Advisory Group) had a successful year having raised over $200 in fundraising efforts! The TAG members decided to use this money to purchase Christmas gifts for the Teen Center. Check out the photos below of the Teen Center members opening gifts! Saturday Night Jammin'

On Saturday, August 28 we started the Saturday Night Jammin' Series for the 2009/10 school year at the Underground. We kicked off the year with "Rocket Boots" and "Write What You Know". Mt. St. Mary's Skate Park Bash

The June 20th skate bash was a huge success with 20 great competitors competing for prizes from Yeah Board Shop in Bartlett, Il. Steve Davenport, owner of Yeah Board Shop ran the competition with his skate team judging the competitors' tricks. Following the competition, "Pheedback" and "Rocket Boots", two local teen bands preformed inside the skate park for the crowd, it was a great day in the park!
